Ethan Jaitrin Kraisornsuthasinee was born at New York Presbyterian (Columbia University's) Hospital at 8:48pm. He weighed 8lbs, 1oz. He had a strong cry and a very healthy appetite. Joe and my mom, Pat, were in the delivery room for the big event. Our delivery room had "sweeping views" of NYC and the Hudson River.
Ethan's middle name is Jaitrin (pronounced "Jay-trin.") In Thai it means charisma, charm. The number 9 is very lucky in Thai. So since he was born on 09.09.08 he has a very lucky birth date.
We had a private room so Joe and I could spend our first night together with Ethan. Since neither of us had ever fed or changed a baby before, this was quite a crash course! Joe was such a great daddy! He took care of Ethan the entire night so that I could catch up on my rest!
